New Blog Look
Well, I haven’t posted in quite a few days. I know, very unprofessional for a blogger. But I’ve been getting busy with the end of the semester and trying to convert this blog from Blogger over to Wordpress. And guess what? It’s finally done! I have successfully transfered all of the posts and comments from the Blogger version over to the Wordpress database. It was difficult at first because I kept trying to import it directly from a modified posting using an ‘import friendly’ template, and it would fail over and over again because of the FTP publishing problems I hate so much. So I finally used the method described by Skeltoac and his alternate template. Worked like a charm! Got all of the comments and everything in the posts. And they all seem to show up correctly! That’s a feat in and of itself.
So even though I’m still using the default Wordpress template, I’m REALLY enjoying how much better Wordpress is than Blogger. Of course I’ll be playing with the template and plug-ins until I get it back to looking the way I want. So there will be changes in the template for sure. So thank you for your patience, and look forward to the posts getting back to a more regular schedule.

Man, your blog is schizo. How many changes is this in the last six months??? Well, every change you’ve made has been for the better. I hope it’s as easy to read like your last template, I liked that with the blue. It was a great color combo.
Pheonix: I know. Pretty ridiculous. If I could keep the same template from Blogger, and just plug it right into Wordpress, I would have done it right away. But the template format is quite different, so I have to use someone else’s theme for the time-being, while I try and figure out the easiest way to write the template back to a ‘close’ approximation of what it was. And yes, I will most likely be sticking with the same blue color combo.
This is good to know, in case I ever decide to make the leap myself. Right now I’m too lazy to do it…
