OK Go at the VMAs

I literally just got done watching OK Go perform their choreography for their song “Here it Goes Again”… LIVE! I loved the video just because they did the whole thing in one take, but these numbskulls actually did it live on the VMAs. You gotta respect that shit. In case you missed them on MTV’s Video Music Awards, here’s the YouTube version.
I think the guy with the Amish beard and thick glasses is a little TOO good at the choreography. Hell, he was the only band member who actually lip-synced all the words to the song. In any case, this is probably one of the coolest music videos I’ve seen in years, and definitely the best live performance EVAR at the VMAs.
I saw this when it was first making it’s rounds on the blogs and I couldn’t understand why anyone liked the video much less the song. Maybe I just have an aversion to treadmills.
The VMAs blew ass. OK Go and the Raconteurs were the only highlights for me. The rest was shit.
well of course i didn’t watch the VMAs because i hate mtv but this makes me want to watch one of the 6000 re-airings they will have of it. i saw the okgo video the day it came out and it is still pretty damn awesome. the thing on the choreography is one of the guys sisters is like a ballroom dance choreographer or something and help them with this and their other video, “a million ways”. their cd is pretty good as well.
They did it live? Holy crap! I’m sorry I missed that! I can’t believe they did the video in one shot, that had to be very tricky. They make it look so easy.
Robguy: Ithink I liked it so much because it’s so different than all of the other crap we’re bombarded with on the so-called ‘music channels’ day after day.
JJ: I definitely agree… I’m lucky I turned them on 5 minutes before OK Go performed. I turned it off about 15 minutes later.
eric: I saw it the day it came out too… but I’m glad you told me how they’re able to choreograp all that. I liked their other video ‘A Million Ways’ too, but this one is even better.
Tara: That’s why I was so impressed that they did it live… if that’s the only thing you catch on a rerun I definitely recommend it.
Wow, everybody who is everybody watched the VMAs didn’t they? I don’t think I’ve EVER watched one ceremony all the way through since they kinda became mega-popular once MTV first began to suck.
But I’m kinda mad that I missed OK Go. I still haven’t seen that video in its entirety. YouTube is taking my entire life to load.

cause in the vid it looks like he’s the lead singer, but he’s actually just the bassist.
anyways, “amish beard?” that’s too funny. last I saw they were just sideburns, but hey. whatever.

And I could have sworn it had morphed into a beard at the VMAs. I may be wrong, but I swear that’s what it looked like. I know it was only sideburns when the video first came out, but rock stars gotta switch it up if yaknowutimeen.
