Frank Miller’s 300

300 - By Frank Miller and Lynn VarleyI just watched the second trailer released for the upcoming film “300”, which is based off Frank Miller’s graphic novel of the same name. I swear I just creamed my pants. Both of the trailers gave me goose bumps. I saw the first one in a theater before a showing of Saw III (which sucked by BTW). I watched the whole thing slack-jawed and drooling. I don’t know what it is about the cinematography that makes me want to see this movie so badly, but I’m hooked. I know it’s an adaptation of the Battle of Thermopylae, and doesn’t necessarily stick to the historical facts, but who the hell cares? If the trailers are any indication, this will probably be one of my favorite movies of the last few years. And I don’t say that lightly. Little Miss Sunshine was great, but it wasn’t on the same Epic Scale as Lord of the Rings. It took forever for me to get a copy of the trailer from Apple’s website because my Quicktime kept messing up in FireFox. There’s a version on Youtube that I watched first, but it doesn’t give the trailer justice. But if you’re like me, and you had trouble getting to the movie at all, here’s the Youtube version after the jump:

If you really want to see the trailers in full HD glory, here are some direct links:

In case you’re wondering, the bad ass song playing during the trailer is “Just Like You Imagined” by Nine Inch Nails, on the album Fragile. God I can’t wait until March 9th…
