Anna Nicole is gone, but I’m back

It’s been quite a while since my last post. I’m not exactly proud of that, but a lot’s been going on in mojo’s neck of the woods recently that is both directly and indirectly responsible for my brief hiatus. Most recently, my beloved Kentucky Wildcats couldn’t buy a three-pointer in a near-upset of everyone’s most-hated college basketball team, the Florida Gators. I’m going to refrain from being a typical “Gator Hater”, since that never goes very well for me. I’m also sure JJ and the rest of those evil Gainesville alum are busy doing the gator chomp, eating puppies, and whatever else people that sell their souls for a basketball and football championship in the same year do to make those around them miserable.

Secondly, I’m finishing up my last semester of grad school, and the fuckers decided to go and make it hard NOW of all times. Yeah sure, I’m probably going to learn more with these last two classes, but the University didn’t exactly set the norm very high with my first thirty credit hours of post-graduate education. I would have been a little more prepared for a big-ass semester-long project in each class if ANY of the last ten I took had one too! What I’m trying to say is: If you’re going to attempt to really give me a quality education for my tuition dollar, don’t wait until I’ve lulled myself into a sense of post-graduate uselessness to start bombarding me with classes that actually require hours upon hours of outside-class-time just to read enough articles to NOT sound like a dumbass when participating in class discussion.

There was a time when I could be all kinds of productive during a two and a half hour class. Why can’t I do that anymore? Why does the administration think having ONE professor who teaches like he’s from a top-tier MBA program will make a hill-of-beans difference with how much my degree will be “worth”? I say, if you’re striving for a mediocre program, then stick with it! Don’t blind side us poor slobs who’ve already become jaded with how crappy the program we chose really turned out to be. Just because I regret staying home for my post-graduate career, doesn’t mean you have to screw with me right before I get my damned degree!

OK, now that I have that out of my system, I’ll return to the regular sophomoric postings you’ve come to expect from yours truly.
