50,000th Visitor!
Well, I haven’t celebrated a mile stone in the number of visitors as of yet, but I thought visitor number 50,000 was pretty exciting. According to Sitemeter, the lucky visitor probably stopped by some time last night. I know a number of blogs and web sites in general get 50,000 visitors a day, but I’m still pretty impressed that since September 2005 enough people to fill a typical college football stadium would stop by Gangstas & Hugs to read stuff I’ve written. That’s about an average of 300 visitors a day and 500 pageviews a day for the past 9 months.
This was even more impressive to me since I’ve been gone on a business trip for most of this week, and couldn’t even post. So thank you to everyone that stops by, especially those of you that leave comments! I’ve got to have some of the funniest and wittiest readers in the blogosphere.
Here’s to another 50,000 and keepin’ the crotchless panties dream alive!

That’s, like, totally awesome. I just hit the 50,000 mark myself this week! And still I’ve never had an STD. You do the math. (I sure as hell can’t) Who says there are no miracles of science? Whatever!

Wow, most of the people that I know that have had more hits have had to sleep with WAY more people. :p

Man, I wish it was me!!!
Then the sirens would sound and the confetti would fall and you’d hand me that big, cardboard check that reads “50,000 Visitor” and I’d be happy.
Way to go, buddy…and your one year blog anniversary is not too far away either!
nicole: Oh, I’m a bit of a traffic whore… I save all my posts to most of the social bookmarking sites, and then try and make sure they’re all optimized for search engine keywords. So most of the traffic is usually via search engine… I wish I had as active a comment crowd as you have!
Phoenix: You’re right! Kind of interesting. I wish I had saved screen shots of the blog when I first started to compare it to how it looks now.
