Wordpress Cometh

OK, I’m sick and tired of having all this trouble posting via Blogger. I’m throwing down the gauntlet and I’m going to switch to Wordpress. Every time I try to publish a post or update the template, the FTP connection hangs. And when it hangs, it leaves some page somewhere blank… so you either can’t get to the permalink page or the comments.

You can read my more objective rant on the subject at my other blog Xavodim.com. I started it so I don’t have to bore any of you regular readers with my technical jargon. But if you have a hankerin’ for some web development reading or are interested in contributing, please take a look!

With my job, we have a blog for all the Regional Account Reps. It’s on a Wordpress platform, and it works very well. It’s extremely reliable and easy to use.

Is THAT why I was having trouble commenting yesterday? I wanted to give you big ups for being a cat-owner but blogger wouldn’t let me. I was heartbroken!

pheonix: That’s what I’m looking for… Now if I can just figure out a way to migrate everything over without losing any comments or posts.

ngregory: Yeah, I’ve only liked a few cats during my life… and thank god they’ve been mine. Most people’s cats are just little bitches though.

eric: Thanks for the offer! I’m sure I’ll be asking your input.

jay: I think blog-city might only be on their hosts, so I’ll probably go with Wordpress since it’s pretty friendly for hosting yourself. And don’t worry, the domain/URL won’t change as I own it.
