Dear Jane: I think if everyone just tried very weakly to realize that everyone in the theatre paid their hard-earned money too, and that they aren’t the only ones trying to enjoy themselves, then they might have a little more respect for others… Ahh, we can dream can’t we.

The Phoenix: Well, at least I got to enjoy that one in relative peace… I think those types only get out of their cat-infested apartments for these movies, so they have no idea how to act in a social setting.

I had the same lady during ‘Chronicles of Narnia.’ From her sympathetics, “Awwww” to her “Ewww” during the fight scenes…I wanted to beat her with my popcorn bucket. She wasn’t alone, as she and her friend did all those things in perfect synchronicity.

I haven’t seen King Kong yet, but I do hate people that interfere with my movie going experience…with their LOUD talking, LOUD chewing, or constantly getting up to go to the bathroom and walking past me. I don’t know about you, but when I am at home, I can ususaly go 1 1/2 hours without needing FOOD and a BATHROOM break!

ngregory00: I say go see it… it is a bit long, and we all know the end, but the Kong-Trex fight scene basically makes the movie by itself.

I think it has something to do with they have no idea how to act socially, so when they get out in public, they act very inappropriately. Probably just means they’re momma was fucked up when they were in the womb.

Laurie: Oh, you gotta see it in the theatre! There are just a few movies where seeing it in the theatre makes a big difference, and this is one of ‘em!

I’ve heard so many conflicting reviews on this movie that I don’t know WHAT to think. I do know what you mean on the Kong detailing, though. I saw a close up shot of Kong holding Naomi Watts (that’s her, right) and I must have stared at it for literally five straight minutes without blinking. I mean, you could count the hairs on him, the rendering was so detailed.

As for the asshats that just CAN’T shut the hell up during a movie — I don’t get them. You can sit up and talk in your own house for free. Why go pay $10 for the privilege of doing it in front of other people while a movie’s playing??

that reminds me why I don’t go to the movie theatres… there’s ALWAYS an asshole (or 5) in every bunch and I’m sure as hell not paying $8 to deal with them.

I took my son to see The Incredibles and there was an old lady in a wheelchair sitting behind us with Tourette’s Syndrome. She kept yelling “EAT SHIT!” and “FUCK OFF!” Now, it took me a few times to understand what she was saying and when I did, I couldn’t stop laughing. I don’t think that who ever brought her there should have. It’s a kids movie for goodness sake!
