12 Things I Hate About You

The second blog meme in a row… I know I know. But sometimes it’s easier to just do one of these than to be creative at all. Big ups to Helen for dropping me in.

  1. Black and White or Color; how do you prefer your movies?
Technicolor… There’s only a few film noir movies that black & white works for, but otherwise I like everything in color. About the only thing I like in black & white are photographs. Think Ansel Adams.
  2. What is the one single subject that bores you to near-death?
Actually this is kind of hard, since I find almost everything interesting. I think I’m going to go with crafts and interior decorating on this one. Those shows on TLC bore the ever living shit out of me.
  3. MP3s, CDs, Tapes or Records: what is your favorite medium for prerecorded music?
MP3s of course. I can take ‘em anywhere and burn them to the media of my choice also.
  4. You are handed one first class trip plane ticket to anywhere in the world and ten million dollars cash. All of this is yours provided that you leave and not tell anyone where you are going … Ever. This includes family, friends, everyone. Would you take the money and ticket and run?
Yes, because I’d buy an island out of legal jurisdiction and then fly my family to it and then fortify the beaches with anti aircraft guns. Let ‘em try and get me!
  5. Seriously, what do you consider the world’s most pressing issue now?
    Religious fundamentalism.
  6. How would you rectify the world’s most pressing issue?
Seperate religion and governments across the globe.
  7. You are given the chance to go back and change one thing in your life; what would that be?
I would have realized how trivial high school was while I was there, and then laid the Mojo smack down all over campus.
  8. You are given the chance to go back and change one event in world history, what would that be?
    The holocaust.
  9. A night at the opera, or a night at the Grand Ole’ Opry –Which do you choose?
Jesus… neither if I can help it. But if I had to pick, I’d go to whichever one is easier to sneak booze into.
  10. What is the one great unsolved crime of all time you’d like to solve?
Who hit me over the head with a beer bottle outside a club that one night…
  11. One famous author can come to dinner with you. Who would that be, and what would you serve for the meal?
It’s cliche, but it would be Stephen King for me… whatever I served for dinner would have to be big enough for him to see through those god-awful coke bottle glasses he wears.
  12. You discover that John Lennon was right, that there is no hell below us, and above us there is only sky — what’s the first immoral thing you might do to celebrate this fact?
Start sizin’ up the 16 year olds… Oh wait, I think that’s still legal in KY.

As for the four people I’m supposed to tag, forget it. I felt bad enough trying to drag seven people into the last one. And thanks to those of you who participated!

Well Mojo, you are a very funny dude! As they say on Family Fued “Good answer, good answer!” And I was dropping by to let you know that I have completed my mission also! Thanks for playing!
    Peace………………..

  • mojotek

Helen: Thanks! I appreciate the compliment. I’m heading over to check yours out now.

  • The Phoenix

That’s a great list, Mojo. We have a lot in common.

I’m reading King’s newest novel, “Cell” by the way.

Explain Mojo laying the smackdown all over campus thing.

  • Dawn (webmiztris)

I’d love to meet Stephen King too. He’s one messed up guy. I like that in a person. ;)

  • Lisa

Enjoyed the list! Can I get an invite to have dinner with Stephen King to??

  • mojotek

Phoenix: I’ve always thought that… and I’m reading it too. I love apocalyptic stories. As for the smackdown thing: I would have not given a shit about what any one else thought, and just done my own thing (played football instead of soccer, been more confident, kicked the shit out of any thugs that tried to act macho by putting me down, dated a bunch of girls intead of getting stuck with one for 3 years, etc.).
    ———-

Dawn: Definitely messed up… don’t know why I love his demented novels and short stories.
    ———-

Lisa: As soon as a get a date set, you’ll get an invitation.

  • Tara

Since these are different than the many many surveys I’ve filled out in the past, I think I’m gonna take this torch from you and see how far I can take it.

    Excellent answers!

  • The Phoenix

Just finished “Cell” last night…That’s good stuff.

With the regrets from your high school years, I think most of us wish we knew then what we know now.

  • Laurie

Loved your answer to #9 - I’d be the same way! LOL

  • mojotek

Tara: Great! Have fun with it!
    ——-

The Phoenix: I can’t wait to start reading it again. Meh, I know that kind of crap is always “hindsight is 20/20″.
    ——-

Laurie: Yeah, I can’t really imagine enjoying either one very much.

  • rockyjay

#3 -> Not that I am any high fidelity specialist, but…

… has anyone ever wondered how we’re getting rippped off with very low quality of MP3s. Isn’t that somewhere between vinyl and metal casette?

  • ngregory00

Drat it, you guys keep beating me to the tags! I just got this one from Sonia yesterday but I can’t post it yet. Don’t wanna wear you guys out. ;)

  • Laurie

Ok, Mojo - I did my tag! :-)

  • mojotek

Rockyjay: I use iTunes, and the quality is usually pretty good. Can’t really complain. I haven’t really tried any of the mp3-only services yet, so I can’t really say anything about them.
    ———

ngregory00: Ooooh, sneaky. You were gonna tag me right back weren’t you? Shooo {wipes forhead}. Thanks for taking my constant-tagging as a compliment!
    ———

Laurie: Nice list! And I love the Flash-based mp3 player buttons. You’ll have to tell me where you got those.

  • Robguy

#12 aren’t immoral things most often committed by people that believe in heaven and hell? - some version of it anyway.

  • mojotek

    Robguy: I think you’re right.
