Blog of the Week - Bed Jumping HQ
After a whole host of problems, I think G&H is basically back to normal. Time for another Blog of the Week!
I’m a fan of general buffoonary, and when I find a blog that specializes in nothing but that, I rejoice. Take Bed Jumping HQ for instance. Its hard to imagine a blog with a better premise. Basically, readers send in pictures of themselves jumping on hotel beds, and that’s the long and short of it. No more, no less. But, Oh! How entertaining those pictures can be.
Here’s a clever description from the “About” page:
There is something completely intoxicating about today’s hotel bed. Plush, deep, luscious, thick…and oh so bouncy. Don’t deny yourself the indulgent luxury of taking a running start and launching up over that mattress and box-spring that will surely propel you back up into the stratosphere.
This picture in particular is a classic on the site:

The look on his face while simultaneously “hovering” above the bed is priceless. View some more of my favorite pictures after the jump.
Here are some supermen doing what supermen do best:

It’s even funny when the whole family gets in on the experience.
And what about this guy, Terren, who got stuck at Euro Disney by himself:

Enough pictures. Just use this post as an excuse to start abusing hotel room beds and having a little fun taking pictures of yourself. I wish I had thought of this blog when I was on my business trip in Phoenix. I could have gotten some GREAT pictures.

You all should see this with the PDA plugin! It looks awesome with the pictures.
My mattress can’t do that. I gotta get new one.
Also, motel beds can do that either. Maybe, just maybe, I should once stay at a five star joint and try that — seems like fun?
Aww, that looks like so much fun! I want to go to a hotel now, just to take a photo and enter it. I remember seeing one old picture of my brothers throwing me onto a hotel bed when I was younger (like 6 or 7). Maybe I can find that one.
Rockyjay: Yeah… I couldn’t pull that stuff at home, but I have stayed at a couple places where the springs in the mattress seemed extra bouncy.
Tara: I bet they’d LOVE to put that picture up!
we’ll be going on a cruise in two weeks. Hmmmm…. I wonder how bouncy their beds are??? ;)
I have to say I like this “after the jump” thing. Sounds so news magazine-like. ;)
That hotel room looks just as tiny as the last place I stayed in NY. You literally couldn’t walk around the foot of the bed if the bedroom door was open. Not the point of your post, I know.
Dawn: If you take pictures, you’ll HAVE to show me!
nicole: Makes me sound all professional doesn’t it. :) Wow, and I bet that was a pretty upscale NY hotel room too.
Okay that picture is funny as all hell. And disturbing.
Riss: I thought the same… I laughed out loud first. But then I started thinking about how he did that, and got a little weirded out.
