They sent me $130 for what a pawn broker would have gave me $600 I could not send check back because 2 week limit was past. The check stub shows the weights and date sent but you cannot prove the date you sent the gold so YES ITS A FILTHY SCAM! Yes you send them your gold and yes they send you money, If you go to their website and look at the prices they pay, today for example they are paying $14.20 a pennyweight for 14k gold, but note that is what they pay if you are selling 10-50 ounces. Now ask me what they pay if you are selling what the normal person would be selling which is 1 - 2 ounces of gold. They are paying around $3.50 a pennyweight (they quoted between $3-$4 a pennyweight), that's 75% less than what they are paying if you have 10 oz. to sell. Next question, what percentage of the people who send Goldkit.com scrap gold are sending them more than 10 oz? My opinion would be that at that level those customers are few and far between. Don't want to turn this into an advertisement but if you search the web you will find companies in the Midwest that pay 92-96% of the spot gold price for gold (they average about 6% overhead, which I think is very fair.) So unless you have 10 oz of gold sitting around don't waste your time on these guys. Goldkit.com is not a scam but you better ask questions and read the fine print.
