Image Stealing Revenge
I was checking the incoming links today and found one from a Greek language blog on Blogger, specifically from this post. I thought “Cool, must be linking to something funny”.
Nope, completely wrong, the author had just hot-linked to one of the pictures I host on the site. True, it is just a Blogspot blog, and I’m sure the bandwidth drain isn’t much, but I was still a little pissed. Its the principle of the thing. I mean, it’s FREE to upload pictures to Blogger. Why didn’t he do that? If he had linked directly to the post it was from, then I wouldn’t care less.
So I decided to have a little fun. Have a look see:
That’s his blog before I had my fun
That’s his blog after I played my childish games
Immature? Maybe. But if the guy’s going to go around and grab images from other people’s web pages, at leats have the common sense to upload them to your own server. I don’t own the picture or any rights to it, but I do own the bandwidth that’s being used to load it. So NYAH!

lmao! good for you! I would totally do that if I found someone stealing my bandwidth - free or not!
Damn Greeks.
I admit that I occasonally hotlink pictures… maybe even from your blog.
I like the danger of it. And the fear of getting caught gives me an adrenaline rush…
I also hot link, maybe you should have an a hotlinking anonymous post where we can all anonymously link pictures from various sites….. wait no ! Bad Mulk! BAD!
revenge is a dish best served cold… with a greek salad on the side = ; - )
lmfao
Aww, that’s frickin BRILLIANT, dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Erech was complaining about hotlinking the other day. Apparently he’s experiencing his own issues with it. Poor guys!
stealing is the ultinate form of flattery………borrowing is the ultimate form of blue balls.
I must get a different avatar!!
Good for you — you tell him!!

I am hotlinking to that picture.
Dawn: I sure showed him, huh!
Phoenix: I tell ya, they get more and more sneeky every year!
rockyjay: I think I’ve actually been guilty of it a few times… just not when it was free to upload my own to a Blogger blog.
mulk: You know what, that’s not a bad idea!
minijonb: Haha! I hadn’t really grasped the enormity of all the Greek jokes this could lead to.
nicole: Why thank you… I’ll have to check out Erech’s site and see what he had to say about the subject.
mulk: I’ll chaulk that up to your own special type of philosophy…
David Amulet: Well… I try… {blush}
Riss: I KNEW you’d say something like that!
Oh great, I’m going to go through my logs now. I run my server and I pay for BW!
