Dear Jane: Probably not that many would put up with crap like that… but those commercials are just as degrading to women as they are infuriating to men. And I’m glad you like the Spell-check option. Quite a nifty plug-in…

The Pheonix: That’s the one that inspired me to write about it! I hate that one… God I want to shoot the ad execs who come up with that crap.

That “pooper” one is hilarious.

Sometimes people put fake e-mail addresses so they can comment. On my site I’ve gotten ones like “fuckoff@leavemealone.com” or “nofuckingway@privacy.com”

It’s the same type of mentality that advertisers use to get men to buy the male enhancement pills. Make us feel inferior then provide the solution, and add some peer pressure into the mix.
The one I hate the most is the guy who gets to the airport in a bad blizzard, looks at the diamond he sold his left testicle for, and then has this ingenious plan to steal a snowcat from the airport and drive it to his woman’s house.
Of course, she runs outside and has her “diamond orgasm” in the snow.
Perfect, just perfect.

OMG…these are HILARIOUS!!!!

My least favorite diamond commercial is the one where the guy re-proposes to his wife during some jaunt to Italy in front of a slew of people (including her mother and impossibly well-dressed father). It’s just so nauseatingly unrealistic that I’m glued to the screen every time it airs.

As for forgiving stupid shit, I like diamonds but dude, they ain’t all THAT.
