Webcams Into the Unknown

I was checking the feed for Diggdot.us last night and found this interesting submission via Digg. Apparently there’s a very easy google query you can enter to find unsecured webcams on the internet. I’m sure these only apply to a certain type of webcam, but the coolest part is that you can control most of them. Well, that is when every other teenage hacker in the world isn’t trying to gain control of it.

The coolest ones I’ve found:

  1. Cats on a bed - Someone really wants to know how their 17 cats are doing while they’re away at work. I haven’t been able to control this one myself because so many other people are moving it around.
  2. Illegal Japanese Gambling - Or at least it just looks a little shady. I’m not sure what kind of gambling they’re doing, but they’re definitely not using a deck of 52. I have been able to control this one.
  3. Classic Car Lot - Looks like a car lot specifically for classic cars. You can pan tilt and zoom this one.
  4. Poochie Pool - I guess it’s some kennel’s way of letting dog owners see their pooches play in the pool while they’re on vacation.
  5. SysAdmin’s Dungeon - Some system administrator must spend a lot of time in here. Maybe his superiors just want to keep tabs on him? Or maybe they want to log how much time he spends collecting pr0n.

Can anyone else find some cooler ones?

Here’s a few funny screen shots I took:

Aww… kitty needs to take a poopy in his automated litterbox
That dude’s cheating at Majong!
Aww… does cuddles need a bathy wathy?
