Humor from within my blogging circle

I like to think this here blog is funny at times. But some days I just can’t think of a damn funny thing to write about. That’s when I start perusing my blog roll for inspiration. Turns out that’s not always successful, but it never fails that I find some posts that [...]

Linkapalooza - 1/5/2007

I’m bringing back Linkapalooza! I used to just have these as daily links that would populate from Del.icio.us directly into the G&H feed. But I figured it would be more fun to allow readers to comment on them in an actual post.

Underwater CO2 bombs - Google Video
Although this is extremely awesome, I’d [...]

Blog of the Week - Useless Advice From Useless Men

This is a new category that I mentioned would be making an appearance in the next few weeks. The ‘Blog of the Week’ is a tried and true category of its own now! This week’s BOTW is none other than ‘Useless Advice From Useless Men‘. This farcical group of authors always puts [...]

Webcams Into the Unknown 2

Well, it turns out I was a little obsessed with this unsecured network camera phenomenon. I’ve found a few more cool cameras that are working, but before I share them I wanted to address something Nicole of NicoleMART said in a comment on my first post about these cameras.

Webcams Into the Unknown

I was checking the feed for Diggdot.us last night and found this interesting submission via Digg. Apparently there’s a very easy google query you can enter to find unsecured webcams on the internet. I’m sure these only apply to a certain type of webcam, but the coolest part is that you can control most of them. Well, that is when every other teenage hacker in the world isn’t trying to gain control of it.

Life as Art

I heard about this performance artist on Bob & Tom yesterday morning on the way to work, and then I actually caught her while she was doing an interview with them this morning on the way in. Apparently a performance artist, Lauren Argo, from here in Lexington, KY decided to share her life with everyone in a restaraunt display window for at least a week. Here’s the description of the piece:

Norelco Bodygroom: Man-Scaping?

I saw this on Gizmodo and couldn’t resist posting about it. It’s a product for hairy men called the “Bodygroom”. Hmmm… I may be a little on the hairy side, but I don’t know if I’d go all out and invest in one of these bad boys. The most priceless part of [...]

Colbert, Bring the Noise, and BBS Geeks

If you haven’t already caught the buzz about Stephen Colbert’s appearance at the Whitehouse Correspondents’ Association Dinner, then you’re really missing out. I was pretty shocked to hear that Colbert, who has my second-favorite show on Comedy Central, was invited to speak at the dinner with President Bush sitting just a few feet away.

BlogLaughs

A few months ago I had started reading a blog called “site name removed“. It was funny and the author had a dry and sick sense of humor I really enjoyed. Apparently a few too many people found out about it at his place of employment, and he didn’t want to risk any managerial backlash so he started a new project called BlogLaughs. I’m really excited about this endeavor. The tagline for the blog is: “In Search of the Funniest Blogs on the Net …” Which is quite an undertaking in and of itself.

Linkapalooza - 3/24/2006

I haven’t posted all week, and it wasn’t because of the thrashing my blog got. It’s just been one hell of a week. So to close out five days of crap, here’s another set of 10 links you could find yourself… but why would you? You can get the damn things here!
