Life as Art


I heard about this performance artist on Bob & Tom yesterday morning on the way to work, and then I actually caught her while she was doing an interview with them this morning on the way in. Apparently a performance artist, Lauren Argo, from here in Lexington, KY decided to share her life with everyone in a restaraunt display window for at least a week. Here’s the description of the piece:

Don’t Judge a Book by Its Cover


I don’t know about you, but the first thing that pops into my mind when I see a 1983 station wagon rev its engine is, “How many times can he do that before the transmission falls out?” Well, maybe I shouldn’t be so hasty to make that type of judgement. You never know when that 20 year old soccer mom vehicle of yore will have enough horsepower to ‘undrop’ your testes. Have a look for yourself:

Teacher Pulls a “Falta Muy Grande”


A high school teacher from my town here has pulled a major “uh oh”. He showed ‘The 40 Year Old Virgin’ to his Spanish class. I’m not sure if this guy was aware of of how much swearing and talk of drug use went on in this movie, or if he showed a spanish translation version and cuss words aren’t the same where he’s from.

Left in the Lurch


Interesting post I saw on another blog with a letter to Bush from Michael Moore about the Hurricane. I was just thinking about a few of those items myself today.
