I’d been looking forward to the Michael Bisping vs. Matt Hamill match up since day one of The Ultimate Fighter Season 3. I actually couldn’t believe UFC 75 was going to be broadcast for free on SpikeTV. Hell, the Bisping-Hamill fight wasn’t even the top card. So I was stoked to watch three [...]

I just got done watching a news conference where Tubby Smith officially accepted his new job as head coach of the Minnesota Gophers. I didn’t think I’d get as upset as I did, but seeing him in a burgundy and yellow tie was a little more than this Cat fan could take. I [...]

I didn’t get to see UFC 65, but someone sent me an email via the contact form and left me this little gem:
“jhghgjg wrote:

nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooootttttttttttttttttt
ccccccccccccccccoooooooooooooooooooollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll”
Well, I’m not sure if it’s “noooooooooooooooooottttttt cooooooooooooooooolllllllllllll” that Matt Hughes lost to Georges St. Pierre, but I do think its interesting. Especially since St. Pierre was ’sort [...]

A coworker of mine just sent this to me via email. Her husband is a big Michigan fan, and they’ll both be at the game. The email is from a Michigan Alumni group that will be attending the Michigan-Ohio State game. Apparently they’ve been to one of these games before.
“…We know [...]

So who’s going to win this one? Matt Hughes or Georges St. Pierre in UFC 65? Watching Hughes’ last fight, I was one of those hoping he’d knock B.J. Penn the fuck out. He finally did it, but it was in the third round and Hughes had trouble taking Penn down for [...]

I got to watch UFC 62 at a buddy’s place last night and I was pissed with the ‘Main Event’ that I had been so excited to see. Not that I expected anyone to really compete with Chuck Liddell at this point in his career, but I didn’t expect Sobral to walk right into [...]

“Tragedy follows Triumph at NCAA Championship Game.”
AP; Rueters: Shortly after Florida’s win over UCLA Monday night in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship game, Florida forward Joakim Noah turned the scene from one of jubilation to one of grim disgust that will haunt the city of Indianapolis from years to come. It appeared that Noah picked up a random 8-year-old Florida fan and bodyslammed him to the wood floor during the after-game celebration. The young boy died on the floor shortly after due to heavy trauma to the head and a broken neck. Noah, the star sophomore on Florida’s basketball team, appeared unphased by his actions against the 8-year-old boy and began playing air guitar over the quivering boys’ body.

[photopress:jgtuf2a.jpg,thumb,alignright]I’ve spent about 6 hours today watching The Ultimate Fighter: Season 2 on Spike TV. I had caught almost all of the first season and I loved it. I was disappointed that I hadn’t really caught any of the second season at all so far. So imagine how happy I was [...]

I wrote a few days ago about a little exchange my youngest brother and I had, and it involved the time of a UK Basketball game. My chum, JJ, wrote a little comment that made me want to talk a little smack. This cascaded into a little game of MySpace commenting in which I ended up looking like a chump. Here’s the comment that started it all.
