Scaring is Half the Battle

Everyone’s had a moment in their life when they’ve felt a little shocked or scared at something they didn’t expect. And since I have a sick sense of humor, I find these moments one of the most amusing things we as humans can inflict on one another. Nothing screams “I love you” like tricking a friend into sitting down at a computer screen to play a game or find something wrong with a picture simply for the pleasure of seeing them shit their pants 10 seconds later. Here is a prime example of said buffoonary. Please enjoy, and if anyone has footage of similar pranks they have pulled on their friends, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

that had to be one of those flash videos that you stare at it for awhile and then something pops the fuck out and gives you a heart attack. you know your a really fucked up friend when you send those to people. time to crack open the address book, lol.

Someone is lucky their flatpanel didn’t get knocked off the desk. It’s all fun and games until someone loses a monitor.

HATE getting tricked like that but LOVE seeing it happen to other people. That was HEE-LARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have fallen for the “see if you can find what’s wrong with this picture” bullshit. You see a nice beach or something warm and fuzzy then BAM pops this ugly monster thing. I was at work and not only did I jump out of my chair, but I screamed really loud too.

Xian: Why thank you… I tried to access your blog, but it seems like the layout is a little messed up. Couldn’t find any posts.

eric: I would have to agree that you need to start questioning what type of friends you have if they set you up for stuff like that.
    ——–

Robguy: Yup. I think the cost-benefit analysis would have been thrown out the window if they had lost the LCD.

    ngregory00: Uh-oh… I smell a hypocrit!

April: I’m sorry, but that sounds hilarious to me. If anyone has video of that, please let me know :).

Dawn: A ‘Scare Tactics’ reference… awesome! I need to write a post about why I think that show should come back on the air.

I neve r get tired of watching people react to those things. I have jumped sky high a few times with those videos and photos. Never fails.

I think there’s something I can send you like this, a person being scared out of their mind.

  • The Phoenix

That fat dude FLEW out of his chair, seemingly defying gravity. I think he might have actually soiled his jeans.

    Try this link:

A little kid gets his first taste of these kinds of surprises. Muah ha ha.

Tara: Thanks for the link! I love that video. The most evil father in the world just made himself a star on the internet by scaring the hell out of his son. I love it!

The Phoenix: I was very impressed by how much air he got in such a short time.

It’s always funny when that happens—to someone else. Funny video!

A couple of years ago I was working as a corporate cog in a maze of cubicles. One of my co-workers mass emailed emailed a video to everyone. It was like April described - all nice and calm, then some scary dude pops out. Within two minutes, you could hear everyone shout in terror one-by-one.

Cube halfway across the room: “AHH!”
    Cube next to me: “SHIT”
    Cube by the window: “SUNUVA!”
    Cube near the hallway: “EEK!”

  • mojotek

T.: Exactly. Always better when the scaree is not yourself.
    ———

JJ: That’s hilarious! A video of that from a office camera looking out over the cubicles would have been great.
