Theremin version of Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy”

I wish I had me a Theremin. Well, that and some musical talent. When I first saw the video I was hoping it would be Dangermouse playing the theremin, but I was to be disappointed. Although the dude playing it was pretty talented.
If you're wanting to know what a theremin is, here's the definition from Wikipedia:
The theremin (originally pronounced [teremiːn] but often anglicized as [ˈθɛɹəmɪn] [1]), or thereminvox, is one of the earliest fully electronic musical instruments. It was invented by Russian inventor Léon Theremin in 1919, and it is unique in that it was the first musical instrument designed to be played without being touched. It consists of two radio frequency oscillators and two metal antennae. The electric signals from the theremin are amplified and sent to a loudspeaker.Link via [Neatorama]

that had the be the most annoying sounding instrument I’ve ever heard (LOL, seriously), but it was still very cool….
It’s strange how it almost, a little, does sound like him actually singing because of how he’s manipulating it. Though, I don’t know how long I’d really want to listen to it!
Drums n’ Percussion
webmiztris: I have to agree. It’s pretty cool just for the novelty of it the first time around. After that, it’s just plain annoying.
Alx: Again, cool to see once. Nails on chalkboard after that.
ALSO! in the intro the guy with the drum pad is cheating! you hear back to back kicks on what would be the bass drum but you don’t see him play them!
Alx: That’s why I post stuff like this. I wanna hear what the experts have to say. I never would have seen something like that.
i don’t know what to think of it… It’s MAGIC!
So cool…and yet just a little weird.
Robguy: Whoahoooooooooo! It’s Magic!
Phoenix: Yeah, I wonder how long it takes to master a Theremin.
I once say someone play a theremin live. It was pretty whacked. I don’t think I took enough drugs before listening.
minijonb: It seems like you’d have to take quite a few drugs to appreciate the theremin for any extended period of time.
